One of the most intense wildlife encounters I’ve ever had was sitting in a hide during the red deer rut as this massive stag walked a mere 20 metres from where I was sitting. I was holding my breath trying not to make a sound as the stag was bellowing it’s heart out. Have a look of what it was like from inside the hide in my video below.
